Zoe

It's a girl!! We were told that Lafayette did not have 3-D ultrasounds but it turns out they do. Little Zoe struggled really hard to hide her face but we eventually got a couple shots. She has her mom's nose. It fascinates me how these things work. There is so much more detail with this ultrasound than we were expecting.

This is a great profile shot of Zoe. We got to watch the technician measure ventricles of the brain. Zoe is growing at the appropriate rate and is in good health.

Here is another shot of her face but a little closer. She was extremely active during the ultrasound and has been kicking Ilise a lot yesterday and today. I also got to feel Zoe kick for the first time this morning. At about 6:30 a.m. Ilise said she felt kicking with her hand on her abdomen. After leaving my hand there a few minutes I was also able to feel it. That is such a weird feeling! I can not even imagine what it would be like to have a little human moving around inside me.
