Moroni atop a tall tower of the D.C. Temple.
While wandering around the grounds we were able to find many beautiful photo opportunities. We met some sister missionaries who were happy to take our picture and enjoyed using our camera. Everything about this place is awesome. Even the drive to the temple was scenic.
I could not believe the size of this temple. I'm used to the Chicago Temple so the size came as a bit of a shock. The grounds here are incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, we happen to choose a bad time to visit because it was closed. We look forward to the next time we go to see Nate and Anne so we can see the inside.
The White House. Very anti-climactic. Perhaps a tour of the inside would have given us different feelings but we didn't feel like it.
The Lincoln Memorial from a distance and full of people. That was a definite downside but we still got some good pics.
This has been our most widely used pose over the years. In a couple months this may not be very doable.
Soon after we reached the Lincoln Memorial it started to downpour and the crowds of people on the steps were instantly soaked before they could crowd inside. It gave us a great deal of enjoyment because they ruined some photo opportunities for us. As it turned out, the rain soon passed and left a beautiful rainbow. It was a lot more clear than the pictures show it. We got some closer pictures of the Washington Monument but this one is blog worthy.
Me diving into the ocean for the second time since Ilise missed it the first time. This time; however, I landed half way on my stomach. The water was incredibly warm!
Nathan and I throwing a racquetball further out. Had I noticed the "Beware of Jellyfish" sign at the entrance I would not have done this because I occasionally felt slimy things under my feet.
Ilise threw a piece of bread to the seagulls while I snapped some shots. This is my favorite. They were brutal.
I was playing paparazzo(singular for paparazzi). I got caught and Anne did a great job at evading some of my shots. In one, you couldn't see her at all except for part of one leg behind Nate.
I love this picture. Ilise almost matches its shape.
