Pumpkins!

For the last 6 years now it has become tradition for Ilise and I to carve awesome pumpkins. Yes, it is tradition for a lot of people to carve pumpkins this time of year but six years ago I carved my first pumpkin and I’ve been doing this with Ilise ever since. The last few years we have been lucky enough to include  Zoe in this tradition, even though the first year she had one carved in her name she wasn’t born. I’m not typically an artistic person so this is a chance for me to enjoy art in a small dose.

This year Ilise chose to carve Bubbles from the Power Puff Girls. I confess I didn’t even know who they were until a shocked Ilise felt it necessary to inform me of the show. Even though I think the show is lame, Ilise did a great job carving the character. I know Steph is contemplating hurting me right now for my comments. 

 

Ilise carved Zoe’s pumpkin this year and chose Cookie Monster. He may look a bit evil with the flame burning in his mouth but very cool nonetheless.

 

I carved Shy Guy from Super Mario. A little more simplistic than I usually go for but he’s so awesome I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
