We went to Eagle Creek Park to get some great fall pictures. These two are our favorite out of the many pictures taken.
Our family absolutely loves the fall. It is the best time of the year, also the season of our dating and wedding anniversaries. We love the cooler temperatures and the beautiful colors of the leaves.
In the picture above, Zoe was content with playing with grass and leaves while we relaxed. I thought she might like to play in the leaves so I started sprinkling them on top of her. At first she liked it and smiled but then got scared and started to cry.
Ilise just started snapping picture after picture for our family photo. We all started off looking at the camera but 15-20 shots later we were all sidetracked. Zoe is grabbing Ilise’s glasses and I turned to give Ilise a kiss. It was an in the moment picture.

Mario carved by Philip, Kirby carved by Ilise, and Pigeon carved by Ilise but made for Zoe.
Ilise contributed greatly to all of the pumpkins though. She found the pictures to carve, drew them out on paper, and then decided which lines could be cut and which couldn’t. There is no way I would have done one this complicated and intricate were it not for Ilise already having it ready to carve. Ilise’s Kirby looks awesome and shows up really well in the dark. The pigeon for Zoe’s pumpkin came from a serious of books by Mo Willems. They are very funny children’s books if you ever get a chance to read them. We were very happy with the results of our pumpkins and wish they would last longer than a few days. About 3 hours of work only for it to rot so quickly…
