All of this beautiful weather inspired us to make our first trip to Turkey Run of the season. The weather was perfect for hiking. The sun wasn’t out so we didn’t have to worry about it blinding us or Zoe and it was warm but not too warm. We did have to stay away from the trails that go down into valleys because they were still very cold and covered in ice and snow. I also got to use the backpack to walk Zoe around for the first time. It is very useful and definitely takes a lot of weight off of my arms. The only problem is that she doesn’t like to fall asleep while in it. She made it about half-way through the trail when she got tired and upset so I had to carry the rest of the way. She fell asleep within 5 minutes of walking and was out the rest of the hike. Fortunately for us, Zoe does seem to enjoy walking and hiking like we do. Hopefully we get some more nice opportunities like this soon.

There's nothing like a good hike with a babe strapped to your front.
Yeah, Philip also carried the backpack to balance out her weight in the front. I just had to carry the camera. :)
