Louisville Temple

This is nothing fancy but we were happy with the scenery change after being in Indiana for so long. I love how the ice is flowing down the side.

This is the beautiful Louisville Temple. It was our first time going to one of the smaller temples and my first time going into any temple other than the Chicago Temple. We enjoyed the simplicity of it and the ease at which we were able to find our way around. It was a great experience and we plan on visiting here again.

Before exiting the temple, we met a man who we found very knowledgeable and sociable. This meeting enhanced our experience. We only began speaking to him in passing; however, we ended up talking to him for at least 35 minutes. This amazing man goes to the temple every single week without fail and has ever since the one opened up in Louisville 2 years ago. He drives an hour to get there and considers anything he has to go through to get to the temple worth it. He helped Ilise and I understand the magnitude of importance that going to the temple holds. He filled his speech with examples and stories that made the time fly by. He mentioned the importance of selfless work for others and the happiness that it brings. Many things he said will stay with us always, especially when we go to the temple.

I'm glad you had a good experience and the drive down there is really beautiful.

The Louisville temple has been open for more than two years. Kevin and I volunteered the open house back in 2000. :)

Hey, I know that guy! XD

The Louisville and the Baton Rouge Temples are very similar. Similar floor plans anyway. So it reminds me of home. : )

There's a bit of irony in that statement.

hmm, I guess we misheard him say the temple was open for 2 years. He probably said 2000 and we heard 2 years, if that makes any sense.

We don't remember his last name. We think his first name is JOhn. :/
